The morning birds greet me Along with my squawking clock As I squeeze the last bits Of sleep and dreams from my eyes.
My feet brush the thick carpet. I pause.
Hands meet my eyes, Trying to recapture that dream A feel of lips unknown Yet too familiar.
A sense of longing Reaches from beneath my bed And grasps my ankle. Skin so cold,
And freezing me to my bed.

Blue Upon the FlannelsBlue Upon the Flannels
The color is draining And dripping to the floor. What could have caused this raining Under my roof -- past my door?
The yellow touches first In the race to the wood panels Drop of blue next. My lips purse. Blue splattered upon my new flannels.
I sigh and get a pail. How often is the rain Going to prevail? How often is the rain Going to make me wail
As I watch the color drain?
Colors still ooze from their place upon my walls. The rain makes them race until the last drop falls. &nb Blue Upon the Flannels

Of Blues and GreensOf Blues and Greens
I turn a page in my book
and sit in the soft grass
littered with leaves and acorns
underneath the tall oak tree.
The birds sing their songs of colors: The twittering red of the cardinal,
the squawking blue of the jay,
and the chirruping orange of the robin.
A warm, southern wind caresses my face,
and a grasshopper joins me in the grass. The wind makes the shade stutter and sway,
making the leaves rustle in whisper.
This scene causes my eyes to rise
up, away, sadly from my book

Just updating my journal to show that I'm not dead. College has sucked a lot of the creativity out of me. I have done a few pieces of fanart for Slightly Damned, but I don't want to put them up until they're colored.
Oh! And I'm the new editor for the webcomic Sandra and Woo!
Heh. I guess that's all the more news I have for now.
