A Lonely Drive

As I drive by
On a street of moonlight
I watch as lights so high
Are reclaimed by night

A lonely lot
Of weeds
Withers with rot
Still resign to send seeds

Pushing up through cracks
The weeds suffocate
As they fill up space they lack
And lonely deteriorate

No sprays
None to crush
They die their own way
Without a sufferable rush

As I drive by
On a street of stars
I watch as lights so high
Are covered with bars

As I go on
The lights of signs
Within a blink are gone
My eyes miss their shines

As signs flip
From welcome to denial
I continue my trip
Along this lonely trial

No stores
None to smile
They all close their doors
As I travel this mile

As I drive by
On this street of death
I can only see why
Hope is a myth
I have no clue where this came from. I kind of like it, though. The picture I put up fits it well.

A street of desperation where the only places to turn shun and deny you even a chance to approach. None to help you live and none to quicken your death. This, truly, is the loneliest street to travel.
